Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening procedures are effective and safe in restoring the natural brightness of your smile. Teeth whitening is a common and popular chemical process used to lighten teeth. Some people get their teeth whitened to make stains disappear, while others just want a brighter smile. Discoloration, which occurs in the enamel, can be caused by medication, coffee, tea, and cigarettes. Discoloration also can be due to your genetic makeup or simply from aging.

Effective teeth whitening can be performed under dental supervision, by you at home. Results from bleaching procedures are seen almost immediately, but optimum change usually requires the process to continue 20 minutes a day for a week to 10 days. Some heavily stained teeth, however, may take longer to lighten. The situation for each person varies, so we recommend a consultation with you to provide individual guidance, including after-care instructions that will help you maintain your beautiful new smile for years to come.
